Cibola Question

Could someone give me a good estimate on the Cibola's depth capability in mild to moderate soil with the stock coil. Targets would be colonial coins and Civil War relics ranging in size from cuff buttons to belt plates. Lets say the iron trash content is low. I have read many rather conflicting accounts of this detectors performance. One user states that 7 inches was about the max for coins while a well known relic hunter claimed to have found flat buttons at 21 inches. I realize there are lots of variables that affect depth in different soils and situations, but I would would like to know what I might expect out in the woods relic hunting away from electromagnetic interference.

I'm pulling a lot of clad coins from parks and fresh water beaches and the depth is very good. Most of the coins I get from land sites aren't real deep, six, maybe seven inches being the deepest but the spots I hunt have soil that is so dense beyond that depth that coins don't sink that low.

At the beaches I've pulled coins from closer to nine inches but the beaches get hit hard so most of the deepies were gone a long time ago.

I've used a Sovereign and Excalibur for years and those are deep machines. The Cibola seems to go as deep as those detectors in my experience with it so far in the same locations.

I'm extremely skeptical about anyone digging buttons from 21" with any machine.
