Cibola Question

I have a question about the Cibola. What I have read so far has been impressive. I use a Fisher CZ5 and had been using a Shadow X2. I live in the North Ga. area and strictly Relic Hunt. This hot soil is hard to cut through at times. The CZ always got better depth than the X2 but when the X2 hit, DIG! you could count on it being a good target. I use a 10.5" coil on both units.
I recently sold the X2 and am looking to replace it with another Tesoro machine. How does the Cibola compare to the CZ in depth with the 9 X 8? How well does it work in our bad ground conditions? I appreciate all replies, God Bless and HH!

Joel...
It is so hard for a guy sitting in South Alabama to tell you how a Cibola is going to work in your area. I can tell you this...I wore out the first CZ-5 that was ever sold in Mobile, Alabama. If it worked for me as well as the Cibola is right now...I would still be swinging one.
I would say that the Cibola would do about the same as the X-2 with more depth. If there was some way possible I would go look at both at a nearby dealer. I would want to try the Vaquero with it's ground balance to see if it would work better in your area.
Here is exactly how I would approach the problem. First I would try a Cibola and see how it ground balances in your area. If it gave me a neutral or slightly positive response..I would go with it. One less thing to worry about tuning. If it went way negative or way positive..I would then try a Vaquero and see if I could ground balance it. Once I had it ground balanced I would try some known buried targets and see what I got.
It may be hard to get all this done but that is the value of a local dealer.
Best of luck..
You are on the right path
