Cibola or Vaquero ??????

I hope I spelled that right. I will be purchasing one of these Tesoro's for competition hunts this year. In your honest opinion please, witch one would be the best and why? I will be using the Detector in The Southern Beach Shoot-Out in Daytona Beach in April. I live in Michigan and most of the time swing a Mine Lab Explorer II. I would like to get a Detector that is light and pin points Accurately. So it's up to everyone. I'm asking the experts here for there honest opinion.

Thanks again.

Tom

Thanks Richard. Is it worth the cash, or is it just a added feature? is one better than the other for competition hunts?

Thanks

Tom

If that is what you are buying the machine primarily for, the Cibola should work fine.... In relic hunting, I have found that in my area (East Tn) that the Cibola hits hard on hot rocks....the Vaquero handles them much better... Tnx Richardntn

I agree with Richard's last post. The Cibola is great for competition. I bought one this year primarily for competition hunts. Very light, very fast, and good pinpoint. In normal hunting it doesn't find all the coins my XLT does, but that's not what I bought it for. Though, I do find it to work well in trashy areas. It often will sound off on a coin that was masked out by the trash using the XLT. So it depends on your intended use.
