I just got my cibola back (had it on loan) and thought I would hit up the woods for some relics.I mainly use a cz because of the multi tones but today one tone was plenty. I hunted for an hour (dug no nails!) and found three chunks of cannonball ,two musket balls ,a very old pocket knife and a small button. All in one hour. This machine is great for hunting for relics. I did not dig the first nail which was nice. I am gonna get some pics up tomorrow after a couple more hour in the field. Hope all is well and HH. :usaf:

Good to hear from you birdman! I was wondering if you ever gave the Cibola a good try over there.

I've been using the DeLeon which is not supposed to be as deep as the Cibola. But I've found more with it than with any other brand I've ever owned.

I'm hunting more ghost towns these days so now I'm thinking toward more depth. I'm looking at some of the other machines known for great depth. Meanwhile I keep diggin the goodies like mad with the DeLeon.

What sort of depth are you getting with the Cibola over there?

Zeb,it gets real good depth. It also loves tiny things like bb sized objects. It is wonderful when you are digging almost everything. I have been running in supertune so the pinpointing is not so great but practice makes perfect. For the money and the warranty it is hard to beat. :beers:

The same with my DeLeon. It's not the deepest detector made but it's super at sorting out the goodies from the trash. Down to about 7 inches it's a coin vacuum cleaner.

Richard ,I will be back in December. Don't know where yet. The cibola you sold me is doing pretty good over here. I think I dug a roman coin today! It is in poor shape so I am gonna soak it for a while and make sure that it is roman before I post it. Those 250 s are serving those guys well. One of them found a nice French regiment button the other day.He said "shoot" I was hoping for a musket ball.I told him that the button was worth 20 minnies. Thanks and HH.

The Cibola does good here to with the exception of hot rocks..It hits pretty hard on em. Most of the time,if I use a Tesoro, it's a Vaquero and occasionally a Tejon....Best to you, Richardntn
