Cibola High-Tone

Wound up with a Cibola hi-tone today. Like new, used very little. Did I need it? Hell no. But I'm looking forward to using it for relics soon. Alot of home obligations to overcome, but I'm goin' soon!!!!

Is the difference between the low and high just the tone? Are they for the hearing impaired like me? I think I can hear low tones better than high not sure.

The only difference is the tone you hear. That what I was told by the folks at Tesoro and a couple dealers as well. I have the high tone Vaquero and have never used a "low" tone Vaquero so I can't say I like it better, but it works just fine for my ears.

Once you get a few hours under your belt with it with the right type headphones you can really tell the large iron easier than compared to the low tone..Gives a distinct crackle sound on the end of the target that the low tone does not offer for some strange reason?

enjoy it.its one of the best you can get for hunting dense iron nail littered sites.super hot unit on lead and brass.

I do a little mod on the cibolas to get the cutting edge performance out of the units.it consist of a ground balance and all metal switch..Ive dug targets with this setup deeper than I will comment on

good luck with it

Hmmmm ... maybe I ought to plan to someday trade my low tone Cibola for a high tone ... might change what I think about how the discriminator works on iron when running super-tuned.

High tones are great.
But, ya know, I like
havin one low tone around
just for tha warm sound.

I've been away from here for a few days. I have alot of difficulty hearing low tones. I have a earing aid, but you damn sure can't wear one under your headphones without it squealing......Mt Cibola is hangin' on the wall, and I haven't used it yet. Been swinging an Ace 250 the last few trips out, but I have an "iron" infested area of a CW camp, that gives the eliptical coil a "fit"(on the Ace). Next time out will be with the Cibola.......Thanks for the replies!!
