A Cibola low tone will sound like the low tone Vaquero in the video and the a high tone Cibola or Vaquero will sound a whole lot like the Bandido II uMax in the video.

You pick. I prefer a tone in between. :)

My experience with both machines has helped me learn that the low tone gives you richer audio feedback. The high tone Cibola did not seem to offer as much differentiating feedback in tone response, instead all sounds were too high pitched for me to tell the difference between targets that I could normally tell apart from each other with the low tone Cibola.

Not much to weigh in as I am a new Tesoro owner; however, I do though have a low tone Cibola and the tone noticeably changes and even I hear a lot of variance already. One great thing is the amount of volume from the Tesoro MD - I have my headphones at about 25% volume as any louder my ears begin to ring at each find. That is really great as my last MD was very quiet even when the headphones volume was at max.

Something to point out is with anyone with some hearing loss, or so called hard of hearing, the first thing they can not hear are the high tones. Some people even without hearing loss have problems with high tones as well. I'd recommend you listen to the great videos Tabman provided and see which you prefer (or even better do so in person at your local Tesoro dealer).

Thanks Tabman for the link and videos. I now know I have a low tone Cibola, I even tested mine as I watched to be sure. The sound of my Cibola without headphones drove my dog nuts though :D

I prefer the high tone, but it really is a personal preference thing, based on your own hearing range and how you want your detector to sing to you. :)
