CIBOLA help needed

Sven

Well-known member
Just a quick question, I have a Cibola here without a coil.

Wondering what happens when you turn on the detector with a coil attached.

Do you get the battery tones first followed by a high constant threshold?

It's been a number of years since I owned a Cibola.
Thanks

Sven, I have the high tone Cibola...when I turn it on I get several short sharp beeps, the stronger the battery is, the more beeps I get. Then it goes silent. My Cibola has pre-set ground balance, and so goes straight into discrimination mode. I only get a threshold tone when I press the red button to put it into pinpoint mode. Hope this helps.

And that is the detectors response with "no" coil attached, just double checking.
Thanks

When I turn on my Cibola without coil attached, I get series of beeps and then constant high threshold tone.
