Cibola GB pot?

Rebel1

Member
My Cibola's factory set ground balance is not working well in the highly mineralized soil here in Western Oregon. I need to change it but don't know which pot to adjusts the ground balance. Anybody have a good, clear pic. to show me which one it is? Thanks.

Rebel1,
It is the only trimmer pot on the circuit card. It is a surface mount trimmer and it is small. Gently use an adjustment tool (available at some electronic parts stores). If you try using a small screw driver, make sure it fits the slot well and do not put much force on it. It is easy to over shoot on adjustments but does not take much time to set it up.

set it on frequency 2 and then by switching frequencies, you can set it more or less positive. In fact, you may wanna change frequencies before doing this and see if it helps.

Thats was my plan. Bought a used Vaquero on eBay and am selling the Cibola. I thought about installing a GB pot in the Cibola but decided for me I couldn't justify voiding the life time warranty. I've bought about half of my Tesoros new and half used.
