Cibola depth

Seriously considering a Cibola. It appears very similar to the Vaquero except
ground bal is built in. From you Cibola users I'd like to have your feedback
on its depth. FL doesn't have mineral. where I live so it wouldn't make sense
to buy the Vaq.
I read one review who complained about its depth - rookie user. Others said
it had very good depth.
Appreciate your help.

A friend of mine has one and found a civil war button on his first hunt with it! He loves the machine the depth is great and PP like a dream , don't hesitate to get it ! Oh the button was about 6" in a open field a true relic coin killer! HH tigerhank68

In mild ground it can be pretty deep.

I wouldn't call the ground balance "built in", but rather fixed at a pre-set value. There is a single potentiometer on the circuit card that sets the fixed ground balance.

Possibly this rookie was me, if you looked this metaldetectorreviewsnet, but looking now with more experience I can still say Cibola with stock coil is nothing special or worst, and its more for experienced users but not for new comers even if its looks very simple. recently bought Tejon believing its will performs better when ``Cibola but with stock coil Tejon is not perfect at all in iron and everywhere ells too, but with small coil 5,75 Tejon are one of the best detectors in iron for lower money. definitely I would recommend to try small coils for any tesoros and maybe for Cibola too. But again I would go for manual GB and all metal possibility, because Cibola is made with iron discrimination.

The Cibola is a very good detector, especially if you hunt mild ground (preset ground balance). What others have said about its ability to pinpoint is all true - I used mine for a while with no handheld pinpointer and rarely had a problem finding the target.

hmmm... that looks familiar.
