Cibola and Vaquero are they basically the same machine?

Thats what I figured.Thank you!!

The Vaquero also has a discriminate knob that you can switch to
full time all metal mode so you don't have hold down the red button
down.

From what I read elseware, there's a bit more of a difference.

"........................The vaquero and cibola look the same but have a different I.C chip in them for the disc range and such. and the cibola seems to have won out on the iron handling abilities compared to the vaquero in my opinion any way.seems the cibola can tolerate a faster sweep speed also without losing depth like the vaquero does............................."

I've been using the Cibola as my main unit since March and it can handle a fast sweep with no loss of depth. I've tried numerous times going back over ground I've covered slowing down my sweep speed intentionally to make sure I didn't miss anything and the Cibola doesn't miss a thing with the fast sweep speed. Can't say about the Vaquero, I haven't used it.
