Cibola air test question?????

New member
Air tested my Cibola out in middle of yard today. Do these depths seem right?

Battery level 5 beeps
Sensitivity at 10
Threshold at 6 o clock
Disc. halfway between iron and nickel

44 caliber bullet at 5 inches
penny at 5 inches
nickel at 6 inches
dime at 4.5 inches
quarter at 6 inches
14K mens ring at 6.5 inches

These were measured with a tape measure, and i took measurement at good, solid tone. Is this good depth? Thanks!!

Either something is wrong with your detector or there is an extreme amount of electromagnetic interference in your area.

Agreed, those numbers are not as deep as I have seen. My air tests on my machine were astounding i.e. (like 16" on a quarter). Make sure there's no interference or even flourescent lighting can throw it off. You didn't specify if you were inside or outside.

Ok, thanks yall, im gonna put new batteries in it and try again. Ohh and im quoting this from first post "Air tested my Cibola out in middle of yard today." I made it pretty unclear, sorry. I tested it outside about 60 feet from the house, and 60 feet from the back garage. Thanks again, HH!!

Oooopps sorry!!!! I read well, just don't retain much !!! Harsh ground conditions also affect depth, maybe that had something to do with it. Good luck with your machine, it really is a great little detector!!!!
