cibola 12x10 coil

If the Cibola ground balance is close to where it needs to be where you hunt with this coil, the 12 x 10 should be a little deeper than the standard coil as long as you aren't masking with trash. On my Cibola, the preset ground balance was not much different with the standard coil than the 12 x 10. Coil to coil and detector to detector, tolerance variations may put you off some.

I used mine to mainly cover more area with the Cibola. I have some places I want to go to with the Tejon and the 12 x 10 but have not made it back to those places yet.

The 12 x 10, in my opinion, makes the Cibola pretty nose heavy. It is not so out of balance on the Tejon as it is with the Cibola. It is a good coil on the beach, although I've gone to the 3.6 x 18 for beach coverage. Would expect the 12 x 10 to be a good coil for hunting in woods and fields where there isn't a lot of trash and where conditions allow swinging a big coil. If the weeds or undergrowth is thick, a smaller, solid center coil that doesn't get hung up on the coil spokes swings better.

The DD coil sees through mineralization and should give some improved depth in mineralized soil. In mild conditions, it not much deeper than the stock coil, but you may have to send it in to get balanced to your machine to be sure.
