Is that a creek or a crick? Anouther thing I noticed is that when I was back East and So. Men dont nod hetre we pass each other we nod our head its very suttle but you mussent not nod or there might be trouble later. Just a tip your hat kind of nod dont seem to be any where but the N.W. and Alaska course you can tell who dont live here they usally have short britches on! Bears love leg meat one got a Texas boy scout this week.
 
wear long pants and never shorts when doing yard work and detecting! As far as the men nodding....I really don't know, as when they used to wear hats, they would tip their hats to the ladies and maybe men, but that's been so long ago and I was young so don't really remember!

He got bit twice and the bear left him hell be ok happens every year up here need to have a gun on ya but the tourests dont so if a local isnt there it ends up bad sometimes! I carry a Rugar 45 long colt every time Im out there and often a shotgun if there is tracks around I also have a 45/70 Marlin I carry and let the boys have the shotgun.
 
There are a few that's been seen in the Midwest but not many! Also mountain lions have been seen once in a blue moon! Ok...Wild Bill Hickock keep the tourists, you and your family protected with all that hardware (guns) you carry! Just be careful! :rolleyes: We sure wouldn't want anything to happen to any of you!

Have to shoot twice they can cover 30 yrds in 4 sec and can kill ya with one swipe of the paw they are a serios probulm here some time Ill post the plaster cast I made of the pawprint as big as my head a block from the house I have had them in my front yard. Know several people that have been mauled and near mauled.
