Church Bay Gives Up Some Old Silver and a little Gold!

Church Bay is difficult to hunt at the best of times, tough wave action, rip currents and a rocky sole make it tricky and sometimes dangerous. After Hurricane Noel passed by Bermuda last weekend I felt that some of the old loot might have been tossed up into the lane and I was right. Conditions were calm enough for me to get into the water for a 2 hour hunt which netted 2 silver quarters, an Indianhead Nickel (my first!), an old British Half Penny (very worn), a Spanish 1 Euro coin. a Zippo and a nice 14k Earring.

Anytime I find an old Americain coin I'm just tickled pink about it so yesterday was a banner day for me from my point of view. I wish I had taken some pics from the water while i was hunting though. A big blue parrot fish swam all around me for over a minute, the Colours were Absolutely Beautiful!

If I'd known that I would have left a few coins for you at Horse Shoe Bay.

Any time spent in the water is better than being at home.
