I found this about 6 or 7 inches deep in loose sand at the beach today. I have no idea what this is.

It is triangular with rounded ends on at least 2 corners. The pictures are of each side.

Any ideas?
 
if you know someone that knows how to do electrolysis rust removal that would probably be the only way to identify the piece. good luck
