Christmas Present

After reading a few posts below such as The First Christmas and others it is hard to think of ANY present that I would want for me personally. I mean in all the world if I could possess ANYTHING and cost didn't matter what could I possibly want for a Christmas gift? We hear little ones and even some grown ups saying what it is they want. And how often we fail to recall our Lord Jesus was tempted of the devil and Jesus could have EVERYTHING - all the riches, all the nations and more that Satan could and would give Him (Jesus).

This time of year - and maybe this year more than any other - I realize I could have ANYTHING I desire and Satan would be right there to give it to me - and all I would have to do is turn away from God, renounce Jesus as my Lord and Saviour.

Christmas is a time of rememberance of the GREATEST gift God offered to everyone - His Love - given through His Son Jesus - a son born of man who was crucified for my sins and everyone else's sins. What other gift could there possibly be that could ever come close to this wonderful gift of Love? There is none. I have this gift and there is nothing more I want for me. This Christmas I pray that others will come to know about this precious gift and accept it as the most wonderful present any man could ever receive and that they will accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.

What you said is so true, how can we ask for anything more. All the things of this world will come to an end but God has given us an Eternal Gift to last forever and one we hardly deserve.
