Christmas present for me-Silver & Gold loot, knarley nut-9 hours in the lane...

Gulf Hunter

Went for a spin this morning. Arrived at the east end of the island at 6am, all by myself, but I was soon to have much company. Was eventually joined by around 6 other hunters. Some of Galveston's heavy detecting brass, including coastwise & lady coastwise, Spanky(found 10k gold ring w/cz), Bob and others. Air temp was around 50 or so and I knew that it would warm up to 70, so I wore the wetsuit for some potential deep water hunting. Was working through a 615a -0.1L and it was still sucked way out. Immediately began finding clad on the wet sand so I thought this could be on. Broke a clad take record today at $5.44, which may not be big money for you east coast guys, but it's a fortune by our standards. Got 1 ferrous hoop, 1 knarley painted ferrous earring. 2 .925 hoops. 1 .925 dime sized earring w/cz. A teardrop earring heart stopper that turned out to be .925 with gold plate and c/z. A SWEET .925 cross religious ring, that the Huntress is seriously trying to hijack from me. Last but not least is the .417 marked religious medallion. This is my 25th piece of gold since I started water hunting in jul. '04. Quit hunting at 3pm. It was a long day in the lane. ENJOY!
