Christmas Day

Great reprieve from the weather with 41 degrees, unbelievable hunting conditions. Swung for a little over an hour with the 6inch coil on an early cabin site. On the oldest plat map {1870} showed a site on the back of a field with name Owens. Old man Owens must have been a Union Veteran, with this little cuff it makes 7 civil war buttons off this obscure site a half mile from the nearest road.

A thimble, suspender buckle, silver washed plate, double frogged buckle and a stamped buckle round out the finds and of course lead fragments.
