Christmas at the Cross's...

Got 3 packages in the mail today (yeah, it's all about me.). First off I got a brand new Automax Precision Pinpointer for the unbelievable price of $20 off of Craigs List. I tested it and it works "OK". Detecting distance on a coin is about a half inch. It has both an audible beep or a pretty strong vibration. Be a good back-up. One good thing about it is it won't false, and the other good thing about it is it's big enough to use as a club if anybody messes with you.

Also got some more awesome Cree flashlights. For the last 2 nights I've been dealing with a large yellow jackets nest that I discovered while detecting in my yard the other day. Both times I've taken this light out to pour gas on the nest at 11:00 at night, and both times I had to wear sunglasses  the light is that bright. And click as I might, no problem with the switches and I've clicked them hundreds of times. Got a fantastic zoom on it too.

Best of all I ordered a pair of Killer B's headphones from George Streeter, these are the Hornet model, top of the line, top of the food chain. They're so so comfortable it feels like you have 2 pillows on your ears. Awesome tone and independently adjustable sound for either ear. I've ordered more Cree flashlights; you simply cannot buy this type of power anywhere else for this price. I'm going to put one in the vehicle, in the house, in the boat, in the RV, in the plane, and carry one on my belt. Thanks for looking,
Vernon

The sound produced in the Gray Ghost ear phones was high and tinny sounding compared to what I was used to using the Koss TD 81's . Ghost's speaker rattled in my ear when I walked . To tight on the head but I could have fixed that. Lost about $35.00 on the deal but glad to be rid of them. There are many people who really like them ~ I'm not one of them. I gave them a chance and they failed. Done.
