choice of water proof detector

Hello All. I am New to posting to this forum although I have been reading your site for the last three or so years. I have a question that some of you may be able to help. I have been detecting around 17 years on dirt and beaches. At this time I own a sovereign XS and a 15inch coiltek wot coil for the beach and shallow water. I am after a water proof PI detector and have narrowed down to these.1st the garrett infinium mainly because of the ferrous and non ferries discrimination capability. 2nd the Eric foster goldquest aquasearch although his unit is a little pricy unless I could get a reasonable second hand one. And the 3rd one the detector pro headhunter PI pulse unit and it is a little cheaper. Do you get used to the weight of the headhunter with the entire unit built into the headphones. one of the person connected with either of these machine states his said that his unit will go down 15 to 20inches on an average gold ring.
