Choice for water machine ?

I was wondering if I was wanting to modify any Tesoro to a fresh water detector. What would be the best machine to use for this project ? I know that the tiger shark is a good fresh water machine. Are there any other Tesoros that would perform better on small gold. Not concerned about depth, most finds in my area are recent drops. Anyone have any thoughts on the best detector. Thanks, Mark
 
The great thing is you could use the compadre, silver, cibola, vaquero, they are all the same size as far as the housing. But the ground bal of the vaquero might work best it's also the most expensive of them all. You may be able to do a cibola and mod with ground bal ?

I mod'd my X2 and it works great... A used silver would do just as well as the rest of them would, and leave you some extra $ for a nice scoop !
 
Walt modified his Golden with an otter box and did quite well with it.
 
Mark, as good as all the other Tesoro models are, if you are interested in fresh water hunting for gold, you will not find a better machine than the Tiger Shark. It is very hot on gold jewelry.
 
The Tiger Shark is the only way to go for Freshwater. I love mine. It is a gold killer.

Bought a Tiger Shark last winter. Can't wait to try it our in the local creeks and swimming holes.
