"Dr.Tones"

Here's a vid/history lesson I put together from a hunt Dirt Digler and I had about a month ago. We found a Chinese opium pipe, a Chinese coin, a gold ring, a token and a bunch of other goodies. I hope you enjoy. Please don't forget to "like" and "subscribe" happy hunting!

Nice hunt Tones there's got a be another seated in that state . I think your getting a lot closer . sube

Sube- If there is, I'll find it! It's crazy, I've actually hit the 1700's (I might be the only one) in this state but I haven't put the coil over that seated lady yet!

Gold ring came in at 12:20-12:22. Strong and repeatable

Great Video once again.

Just so you are aware, that is not an opium pipe. It's a tobacco pipe. I'm not going to say that it isn't possible that opium was smoked out of it. It's just not the right kind of pipe that opium was smoked from back in those days.

Well actually, the guys said in the video the pipe MAY have been used to smoke opium LACED Tobacco, not pure opium. I think the research they did and placed in the video was very enlightening. The video was very well produced and very entertaining, great job guys! The producers of Dig Wars should take some lessons from you guys!

Thanks again guys. I hope to have a new vid up soon! Happy hunting!

Yep, so maybe it was laced. Still doesn't turn a tobacco pipe into an opium pipe now does it?

Great video with great finds, keep it up.

No one said it was an "opium pipe" now did they? Nope! So before you go correcting someone else you should be sure what they said, I simply pointed out that they did not say it was an opium pipe. It's ok, you can't always be right, no one can. Have a great day!

BootyHunter, are we reading the same thread? The thread title, the thread body as well as in the video Dr. Tones says he just found what appears to be an "opium pipe". So as far as Nobody saying what it was, you are right! I'm wrong.

Sorry Tones. Keep up the super finds.

Well now you're splitting hairs, you referred to the video and said they were calling it an opium pipe. I pointed out that in the video during the history of the Chinese immigrant workers they pointed out that smoking opium became outlawed in this country and that the Chinese immigrants became more discreet with their pipes ad that this particular one may have been used to smoke opium laced tobacco.
Finally, if you think someone has made an error in id'ing a find, common courtesy would dictate that you pm the poster with your suspicion instead of "grandstanding" in the forum.
