chinese detectors:ban:

There's best selling U.S. brand names made in Hongkong and a whole raft of companies making detectors on the Chinese mainland....problem is their web sites are in Chinese.
www.globalsources.com lists various Chinese machines and the manufacturer and is in English so not a bad place to start.

One of the companies is MP. I am brand new to metal detecting, but after searching forums and doing research, I am convinced that is not the way to go. Even Kellyco told me not to buy one. They have a model called MPX that looks on the surface like it would be good. I ended up ordering a Garrett Ace 250.

Harbor Freight has two that are really lousy clones of Bounty Hunters, know a guy that got one, and took it back. His opinion was that he'd have better luck with a screw driver. Check some of the flea markets in your area. I found a Whites DI6000 hipmount, guy wanted $275 for it. I went back as he was loading up to go home, and ended up bringing it home for a hundred, good for a back up.

Semper Fi brother!
