Chilly morning stroll!:garrett:

When I noted the wind chill temp was 18 this morning I debated about going for a morning hunt, but when I saw the actual temp was 29 I decided to give it a go. Glad I did, as a little silver is always a good warmer upper.

I opted to hunt the curb stretches along some roads and fairways that go through one of our old city parks. Once again not a bunch of targets, but was pleased with the few goodies I did dig. The sterling marked monogramed pendent did give the old ticker a pretty good start. Upon breaking open the cold of dirt it contained all I saw was the smooth back and promptly thought "OLD COIN".....like a reale. Still a neat find, none the less. Particularly, since it was right next to a previously dug hole. And I mean right next to it.

I was just about to call it a day when the 57d Rosie showed up. Got 1 of the 4 wheats right after that and then did head for my auto. The 4 wheat cents are 20, 20, 41 and 4?. The 4? is the clipped/cut one. Also wonder what the odds are of finding two 20 wheats on the same hunt? The Memphis Street Railroad Co. tokens show up from time to time and are from an older era then the Memphis Transit Co. ones that also get dug from time to time.

You guys and gals in the tundra, take heart. Each day brings us all nearer to some more ideal hunting conditions. HH jim tn

Nice Digs There, Bud! Was down there yesterday, apparently I went the wrong direction. Where ya been? Did you see the Bicycle Art Thing they are building by the pavilion?
They were still welding on it when I was there. All I got was a few stinkin' Lincolns and clad.

Terry, sometimes you have to go backwards rather then forward. Even sideways on occasion. I didn't get down by the pavilion, but I'll make it a point to do so, since you apparently left all the silver there. We need to hit that other place since we are having such nice weather. Maybe won't be anyone else around. HH jim tn

I wonder what the guy found who dug that hole right next to that pendant? Maybe a 20 dollar gold coin? And he got so excited he didnt even rescan? Naw...probably a zinc! Nice work there Jim!:please:

Glad you got out and found some silver. We've had some nice weather this weekend and today, but either Mama's not feeling well or I just ain't got no energy. I have my At/Pro and all my gear in her car's trunk, but just couldn't swing it even in my own yard. Maybe Thursday or Friday. I hate not to get out when it's nice weather, but seeing the posts of what you and others are finding helps me with the blues. GL & HH.

Jim nice going on the silver and token.

I thought the weather was going to be worse than it turned out to be, so I stayed home. It is suppose to turn really crappy tonight.

Looks like it is going to miss us by 75 to 100 miles. Meet you out there tomorrow. We'll have everything to ourselves. HH jim tn

Oh heck, I've got a guy wanting to come and give me money for my boat tomorrow.

Looks like a signet love token, probably made out of a coin. There were guys years ago that traveled with the travelling circuses who had a machine which would make love tokens out of a coin....for a price of course.

Darn it, Jim. What are you going to find next year if you dig all the silver up this year?? I sure like the old "Street Railroad" token, sweet.

Nice finds Jim ............
