Chest mount harness.

I was wondering if anyone uses a chest-mount harness and if so. Could you direct me to a site
that has one , as I would like to see one. Has anyone tryed the harness or the hip mount and
if so , how do you like it. Thanks. Wayne(MJ)

They are perfect for all my newer "big box" Fisher's like the CZ-70, & Coinstrike, especially when you have a bigger, heavier coil on there. It's an arm saver :) I like it better than belt mounting as it seems easier to see the meter, & easy to hit PP. They can be adjusted to be right up high on the chest or lower. Here'a pic of me in England....I have the box way low on my stomach so it's easier to hit PP. Any Fisher dealer should stock them...maybe ask on CLassifieds even.....HH, Bill

The chest harness is the way to go....especially to give your arm a break with a big coil on or just for long days in the field. I prefer the harness over hipmounting as the box is in front of you to see the meter & push PP pad too. The harness can be adjusted to sit high on the chest or low to belt buckle. I wear mine low for easy Pinpointing. There's a strap that goes around the neck & belt around the waist. You wanted to see one...here's mine on a recent trip to England using the 10.5 coil. Any Fisher dealer should have one...or ask on classifieds even. HH, Bill

Gee I like Bills setup and most keep the harness too high on the chest where it tough to see and above all pinpoint.Far better than hipmounting at best...Wouldn't work for me as I have a bad back and would put a strain on my back, but for the average guy or gal should work fine.
Remember however you mount off the rod, run the cord under your belt and leave a little slack as it helps putting strain on the cord especially where it mounts at the box connection.Where:wiggle: can I buy a hat like that Bill?????

It looks like something I would like to try . Now a new question. What is that object sticking
out from the end of your handle on your wand. Be damed if I can figure it out.

Did you have a good trip on your UK visit. Looks like it was cool by the way you were dressed. HH.

sorry I didn't see this until today...I wasn't avoiding you ;)
I think what you are seeing in the picture is just the plate that the Coinstrike box connects to at the top of the hand grip. There's 3 holes that you line up the 3 brass posts into. This is also the same on the CZ-70 + my 7a-pro.
Yes, I always have a ball over in the UK, & yes, it was sorta cold as it was late NOvember (Thanksgiving)...but not too bad at all. Warmer than here. But we dressed in layers as you can see, but a couple days we were out there with just one long sleeve shirt on. We were also blessed it didn't rain! HH, Bill
