Chest mount for CZ's

I got my new chest mount harness today and this is the only way to fly for body mounting a CZ detector and using the big 10 1/2" coil. Very comfortable and makes swinging the big coil a breeze ! Sure wish I had bought one sooner.......HH

your 100% spot on Roger !!! I have been using one with my CZ-20 for a while now, and it is the only way to fly with a CZ, and I only have the 8" coil.....

hh,
George

I just bought my second one so now I don't have to swap harnesses between the CZ and the GT.

Tailofdog, If I'm not mistaken, I believe the cz with the 10 1/2 " coil weighs the same as the Vaquero when it is hip or chest mounted. I know it is much easier to swing the big coil without the control box pole mounted.
The chest harness is going to get alot of use this spring at a new picnic grounds that was in use from 1870 to 1877 and covers a little over 50 acres. The 10 1/2" coil won't be coming off my CZ5 for quite a while with all that area to cover...........HH

You are probably right but, i use the 8 inch coil. It comes in at 940 grms and, the Vaquero at 1180 grms.
I like the 8 inch coil in general. I have the 8 inch on my Sea Hunter.

Could someone tell me which chest harness they use and how it's rigged for the CZ3D? I just got the 10.5 coil and already felt the balance was somewhat front heavy with just the 8" coil. Got a picture of the rig?..Marty

Marty, The chest harness is made by Fisher and probably not made by FT anymore, but you can still find new ones pretty easily.
The harness has 2 straps that go around your neck and the main belt snaps together off to the right side of the harness. In the center it has a strap with 2 snaps that threads through your belt mount on the detector and snaps into place.
I have the Fisher cordura pouch for my CZ5 to protect my detector from dust and rain, but the chest harness will work great without the pouch.
I sent you a pm where to buy the chest mount and there should be a picture for you to look at.............HH

Roger

Thanks! I appreciate it...Marty
