cheep headphones on the Equinox

I got a pair of headphones with the EQ 600 so i tried to use them and they had a small plug in and fit loose in the detector . no adapter turned on the machine and no sound , why do they give you somthing that is so cheep it does not work , - I threw them in the trash Any one else use the cheep headphones ? how did they work for you

Gunnar look through this forum for different wireless headphones. Since you hunt the woods, you may find wireless is the way to go. No cords to get hung up on branches etc. I use the stock Minelab headphones and have served me well ( besides the fact the first set wouldn’t charge on me but Minelab replaced them in a jiffy )

I've used the HPs that come with the 600 .... they work just fine.
You have to make sure to plug them in all the way. It's actually a pretty snug fit when you get it right, not loose.
If they 'fit loose', you didn't plug them in all the way, and of course, without an electrical connection, they won't work.
(Although, Chinese quality control being what it is, I suppose you could have always gotten a bad pair.)

I always keep a light, wired pair around just in case the emi is so bad it affects the wireless pair.
