Checked Excal top O rings today

John(Tx)

New member
Did a little upkeep on my excal II. Top O rings looked good so I sprayed a little silicone spray on them followed by dabbing some electrical grease on them and installed knobs. They turn so much better now. HH

OBN has proven you need to check those frequently. Making adjustments IN the water does a lot of damage to them.... micro grit wears on the ID of the rings and they get dry rot without lub. Anyone that lookes at their lower shaft after removing it can see the wear and tear of that movement and can get a good idea of what can happen.
