Did you rescue the guy or let nature take it's course? I have a puffer tank but he has never puffed. Cool pic!

no i could not let him be picked apart ...waited till he got smaller and put him in his place

We used to catch those at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware when I was a kid. They are great eating. From what I've read, that species is okay to eat but tropical species can be deadly poisonous.

i wouldn't eat that no way would rather suck barnacles of the rocks or something its one weired looking critter

We used to eat those when I was a kid , living in the Keys . They do have a poison sack in them , but my Dad knew how to carefully remove it during cleaning. If you accidentally cut it open , you had to toss the fish. The meat came in two big pieces and was bone free. Really good ! Brings back memories ! Thanks for the pic.

We still have them here in Mass..... Cape Cod area... we call them Balloon Fish... Its their defence to fill with air. when they feel safe again they let the air out of the bladder then swim away. If they try to swim when filled with air they flip over or upside down and can't go very far...........or very fast.......

Looks kinda like a couple of girls I knew in my teen days. A few good qualities and all the right equipement. Just not someone you take home to meet the parents.
