almost completly done just built this to get to the cellar holes and such 16hp all automatic hit the throttle and go i just got to put the rack on and were good!

Wow, great job. That will get you to cellar holes quick and in style. Looks great! HH jim tn

That looks really nice but I think it looks like a pants eater........... a chain guard?

Looks nice.

does not bother at all, it goes really good, whats scary is i weigh 370lbs and i can nail the throttle and she'll lift front tire of the ground but it is low geared for steep ground, top speed is about 30mph

i'm going to be hohnest with you, there was a alot of trial and error that went into this, i bought a bad dog mini bike frame kit to start, the frame itself is only rated for 10hp so there was alot of frame bracing and engineering on my part that took place my buddy did the welding and fab part and paint, now i did'nt realize how much torque a 16hp engine has until you try to use it, the jack shaft assembly had to be embraced at every angle practicly to hold the torque down from flexing now i have a issue with the engine flexing which i will come up with more anchor bolts to pull the engine down the clutches clearences are very tight got them exactly 14" center to center, had used a comet 40 series clutches 44c drive and 40 ser driven had to use pillow block bearing set up for jack shaft set up, to give you an idea on how much i got into this is about $1860.00 if you want pics send me a P/M

So, how many hours of operation on a tank of gas?

i really don't know yet i'm still on the first one LOL! but it holds a gallon exactly, i'm thinking i could get 30 to 35 mpg

hey jav, that looks like a first class job you did on the bike. just wondering if a 4 wheeler might be more practical though....with your detector mounted on the bike and you hit a rut or whatever it seems if you wipe out on the bike you are gonna trash your detector too. just a thought.
I have a yamaha grizzly 4x4 and I can pack my detectors, a cooler and another person if needed very comfortably...plus I have 4 wheel drive if the going gets muddy. nice job on the bike and I hope it works great for you.

Roger

looks like it would be handy where I go for nuggets

hey roger i got a case i just picked up that is speacial padded inside and i have it lined for water just incase and plus taking jolts and bangs on the detector, i just got to build my rack for it now off the seat area, its geared for slow

:super:

Nice bike!! Using the large tires for suspension???
