Check that clad!

I keep 2 small plastic containers in the back of my truck. One is labeled "keep" the other is labeled "junk". All the clad, hot wheels, whatsits, etc. go in the "keep" when I empty my pouch after a hunt. The slaw, tabs, foil, nails go to the junk containers. Good finds go in the cab and into the house when I get home. Every so often, I sort and tumble the clad and other less exciting stuff. I'm usually pretty OCD about the process but this last time, a Buff was in the mix. Red as could be, must have thought it was a fertilized Jefferson. Damned if I know where I dug it but I'll take it!

Utmike, I did the same thing recently - got a no date Buffalo with some rust after I cleaned a bunch of nickels and I don’t remember where I found it

After racking my brain on this, I think it had to be one of 3 sites. They were all construction/demolitions with permission. None are huntable any longer so guess there's some comfort in that... Then again, you always wonder what you missed that's now under concrete for the next 100 years!
