Actually, out of my dad, my brother, and me, we got 3 pennies alltogether, and i found a pair of sunglasses. It was SOOOOO meager!! I honestly dont know how yall are finding anything, i was waist deep, up to dry sand, brother was dry sand only, and my dad was making a grid pattern up and down in wet sand. The beach is so messed up its not even funny, everything is under like 3 ft of sand. If you walk out into the water, there is NO trough, you can just stand out there watching as water goes up the slope, then down, the sand is SOFT!! Everything is SINKING deep. We stayed an hour. There wasnt even any iron. Most of the targets were pulltabs, and the waves got them before we could pinpoint them. We need a big storm to come, i wanted to go out on the outer bar, but the waves were to big. Moon jellies were EVERYWHERE too. And there almost transparent, its a good thing they have a very weak sting. HH all!!

It started coming in like that a little over a month ago. Thank goodness we got a flukey wind here that stirred it up a little but it's still hard finding targets out there.
All I managed this morning was a copper 'Bermuda' bracelet and two pennies for three hours hunting in the wind and rain. I still had fun though regardless of the weather. You've got to love a hobby where you can get skunked, soaked and kicked around by the waves and still say you had a good time at the end of the day.

Cheers,

BDA:cool:
