I've been looking high and low trying my luck to find the elusive "fishscale" but to no avail till this point had I found one. The last couple outings I've been hitting this little park I located last week and have had good success finding a Silver 61' Quarter, 63 & 2x68' silver dimes , 56 & 2x63' nickles, georges, young elizibeth pennies. It was your usual 50's park thats loaded with clad as I've pulled about $18 in mostly quarters for 4 hrs work

Today I got off work around 8:45am and needed to get my fix. I've been looking over this park and eyeing up the trees which are a mixer of fruits and ornimentals which seemed odd but it has a good feeling with calming effect on a person. I've been working the west side of the park (first 20') and as writen have had good sucess but today I decided to venture over to the east side of the park as the trees are a little more aged so that piqued my curiousity. Within the first 15 mins pulled some clad ($0.97) and trash then got a nice repeatible hightone of 5 cent -10 cent reading 4" deep. Cut a wide girth plug just incase it was something good, popped it, pinpointed it, stuck my finger in and popped this out.

First I saw king Edward, 1 off the wishlist.

1910 Fishscale, 2nd off my wishlist

I made a video which that I need to edit due to my :)censored: lang.) excitement. 8" away I pulled a 1919D wheat cent.

After this the oldies cleared up except for a 43 penny and a silver 67 dime. I finished strong today with $4.50 for 45mins of bliss and relaxation. I have alot of park to hit still and I hope madmike will be able to meet with me soon so he can get his old silver fix.

I had a couple ppl stop by to see what I was doing and so I had to show off my prize for the day which openned up a conversation with an old timer who's been in the area quite a while. He told me before the park was there there use to be 2 homes on this property that were old even when the park was built in the 50's. I'm super pumped with this info and am literally jumping out of my skin with excitement to get back there and hopefully find myself another wishlist item. (Pre-36 quarter)

Thanks for looking and HH

They are perhaps the most sought after :canadaflag: coin because of their low mintage and smaller size. keep searching, as there could be a few more lurking around that park. :)

Great finds. The GTAx 550 is a way underrated machine. It's a solid machine and a solid performer with a great track record.

Congrats!

I agree, the GTAx is awesome and a simple machine to use and learn. I've been looking into getting another machine from another make to go for the deep stuff but to be honest the recovery of Garrett is excellent and goes as deep as anything out there with the right tuning so never know the 2500 may be in my near future.

Wow great finds that must be a great feeling to find to wish list items the same day Hope you find some more neat old coins
