Cheapest way to buy a 250?

siz

New member
My detector is old and doesn't work as well as a new one would. So when I finally get a job again I plan on saving money to get the Ace 250 but I would like the cheapest route possible. Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance,
-Siz

Thanks Wayne for the reply, what do you mean by extras?

I went on Kellyco.com and it looks like a dog grooming site, maybe got the address wrong?

I got it, the url has detectors in it lol

Craigslist for your area.

[size=large]the best deal i've gotten on a new one was from big boys hobbies. a sponcer on this forum. you don't get all the cheap filler junk as with kellyco but the price is less also. and it will be new. you'll be very happy if you also save for a Garrett pro pin pointer. will cut your search time way down and help to increase your hunting time and finds bye not spending a lot of time searching the holes for your finds. cheapies will do for a while but the Garrett Pro Pointer is the top one.

Ya, right now i'm un employed so money is extra tight but i do want to get the ace 250 as low as possible, thanks for the ideas everyone.

@widebody, I do plan on getting a pro pointer at some point but my first priority is getting the ace 250 for the reason that my detector is from the 90's and is pretty outdated plus the coil i have on it is a stock and confuses junk for treasure a lot. thanks for the tip though.

I agree...Go with Bart at Big Boys Hobbies...Most of that filler from Kco is just that...JUNK!
Plus you will get a machine that does not have Kco stickers slapped all over it....
I learned the hard way....

HH,

[size=large]i bought my first two machines from kc. no stickers on either machine. have made other purchases from them and never had stickers on any of my coils or machines. i didn't care for the junk stuff but only have had one problem and that was a shipping screw up. that said, Bart @ BigBoys had the best price i found for my Ace 250 best price for my MXT PRO was thru chuck at Indian Nation detectors and New England Detectors gave me my best price on my Minelab Explorer. you just do some shopping and these fellas are ready to deal. all the above are current sponcers of these forums. i've enjoyed every transaction from them all.
AS far as affording things. we are all in the same boat. just a differant oar. some do have more money and can buy what they want when they want. the rest of us have it a little harder. we all have the desire to pursue our hobbie.
should also add that a few of these folks have layawy plans. usually a cheap way to buy. easier on the pocket book. may take a little longer but it is a way.
