Cheap old geezers ....

.... come into the store and we help them find the item that solves their do-it-yourself catastrophe ... like a property damaging plumbing leak. The geezer then says, "Well what's this worth?" ... meaning, "What is the price of this item?" ....

My reply is often, "Its worth far more than what we are going to charge you." Sometimes you just want to reach out and choke the $hit out of some of our customers.

Some are not skilled on the proper application of self bonding silicone tape or RTV (silicone rubber calk).

Some do not know that soldering with an acetelene torch or a plasma cutter is not a good idea.

Some do not know that superglue or Elmers do not work in some applications.

Some do not know to use a "back wrench" when working on fittings.

Some do not know that you can't use a 25 watt pencil to solder a pipe fitting.

Some do not know that you can't use a mapp gas torch to solder a circuit board.

Anyone care to extend this list??

I live with a blonde, and constantly tell her that her ideas are DUMB.
