Hunter a field with my CZ-3D where the methodist held camp meetings the last week of August from 1864 - 1910. There were also picnics held here over the years. Spent about 4 weeks here averaging 4 to 5 hrs a day 3 day's a week. Worked it first with my 8" coil then went back and hit with 5" coil and managed to pull out a few more keepers where they say some corrals stood. Field was about 12 acres where these were held. Find's consisted of 11 silver dimes,1 half dime ( 1871 ), 1 1898 "O" silver quarter,2- two cent pieces,5 shield nickels, 1 V nickel and 25 Indian heads with dates from ( 1859 - 1902 )
Thanks for Looking.

Great finds and pictures. You dream about a place that old and big where you can keep going for many trips.

Let us know when you go back. My brother and I hit an old scout camp many times over 2 years. Area was about 2 1/2 acres. Was always amazed as hard as we hit it, him using a whites and me a CZ7A Pro, we kept finding coins and jewelry. With different ground conditions, coils, settings and machines, digging iffy signals, the place kept producing when we thought it was about played out.. Will be interested in you future postings. Area like that has to have a large cent or two laying around.

Thanks Ron I hope to hit it again this fall, Talked to the farmer who owns the ground and he told me some guy in the late 80's and early 90's hit this field for about 7 years in a row it has been no tilled farmed for about the last 13 yrs. Sure would like to see what he took out from there. Guess he didn't get it all. Thanks Mike Happy Hunting
