Chatty 14 inch excelerator coil :help

Hi
Some time ago , probably 18 months i purchased a 14 inch excelerator coil, which i used with good results.
Then all of a sudden the coil became very chatty with a lot of back ground chirping.
i have cleaned the pins and checked the coil and there doenst appear to be anything that i can see wrong with the coil.
The constant chattering makes the coil almost unusable , the only time it does not chatter is when it is in prospecting mode.
Any help that could be offered would be greatly appreciated.
( PS I live in Australia and purchased the coil from Kellyco a long way to send it back )

Hello, I don't have a 14" coil, but I am wondering if you are setting your sensitivity higher than normal. Try lowering it some and see what happens. If that does'nt work email JW at Kellyco. HH Dennis in Idaho

The coil may have gone bad, doesn't happen a lot but it does happen.
Send me an email and I'll help you out with it.
