Has anyone been useing the Ever Ready Gold alkaline batteries?---If so, how do you like them?---I've been useing them (both 9V & AA's) and they seem to both work as well & hold up ever bit as long as the more expensive batteries.---I have never had a leakage problem with them either (like I have had with the Energizers).----Thoughts???----------Thanks, Del

If they're working good for you stay with it. I've read good comments and bad comment about all the major brands. I've been fortunate to not have had any leakers in any brand, but I do remove them when they're pretty well run down or if I'm not going to use the device for a long time.
I generally use Ray O Vac alkalines, their top line which are always a good buy at our local Walmart and so far they've served me well, long lasting and no problems.

Shop around for prices of major brands and buying in bulk usually will save you bucks as shelf life is years on most of them.
Don't buy those flea market off brands as you only get what you pay for..Some major brands just last longer in certain units and yep even fit in the batterry holder better so take that in consideration as not all the same size even if just a tad bigger...

Assuming your detector(s) have reasonable battery life, if battery life becomes an issue - GREAT. That means you've been able to detect a lot.

I agree have been using Ray O Vacs-the blue colored ones and they best them all on price and longevity.why pay for a name. and do stay away from any thing made in china
