Changing from Whites to either a Vaquero or Xterra 705

I have found a Vaquero with standard coil and the 5.75 wide scan coil. It is in like new condition. I am debating between getting a new Minelab X-terra 705 or this used Vaquero. I currenly own a Whites Eagle Spectrum very similar to XLT. Many reason I am looking to trade up is my Whites lacks depth compared to both the minelab and Vaguero. Also the high freq on the Vaquero makes it more versitle in that it can see smaller gold then my Whites if I am so inclined.

I understand there is a big difference but I am finding the more I use a detector the less I look at the display and the more I listen to the sounds. Do not get me wrong a display is nice but most of the time the sound tells me more about iffy targets. No keep in mind I am still wet behind the ears when it comes to detecting but that is my observation. I should also add I live in Colorado that has lots of hot rocks highly mineralized ground.

Any thoughts on my choices and since this is a Tesoro Forum thoughts on Vaquero.

Thanks

Bryanna

I'm a vaquero fan...

I've abandoned TID for single tone... I don't think I'll ever go back

some one told me the concentric is easier to use in trash than the widescan, but everyone will tell you the widescan is better in mineralized soil.

I only use the 5.75 concentric andim thrilled with it.
