Change headphones??

Can someone tell me how to change headphones on an underwater Detector Pro ?? I got the jamb nut backed off the wire up on the body....but the wire doesn't seem to pull out of the machine easy... I'm too scared to pull very hard... you know how wires are. the coil has the same type of connector at both ends. Is there a trick tool for getting these wires off/out?

I got it all taken apart seems pretty easy to do. The body had water in it. So guess I got it figured out.
