Change Cibola Tone ?

Mark L

New member
I have a low tone Cibola, and was wondering if the factory would convert it to the higher tone. Anyone had this done? How much did they charge? It would be nice if they would put a variablr tone control on it like the Tejon. Mark

I think they charge $15 for modification. Personally, I think iron is easier to ID with the higher tone Cibola. The "snap" is more distinct so for that reason I would go high tone. I have heard others say they like the low tone better but for my ears the high tone has more subtleties.

Hay, I could go for fifteen bucks, but I can't go without my Cibola for that long.

Besides I'm just getting used to that sweet low tone.
