I have read where people in Canada find way more money then here in the USA. After reading how many pennies, Nickle, Dimes, quaters and halfs the big change is some times they find 4 $1 coins and 2 $2 coins.
Will see if they do it this time.
As it says, the only way it will work here in the USA is to stop making the $1 bill

Sure would make it easier to find more coins to add up to $$$ by losing larger denomination coins like the Canadians have and find during detecting! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

we should make all bills into coins! I'm thinking finding 3 or 4 - $100 dollar coins a day would be awesome!!!!!! :detecting::thumbup:

Actually congress did seriously consider changes to some of our paper money into coinage. Originally the $1 coin, which we have now, was suppose to replace the paper dollar. They also considered doing away with the penny altogether but, for now, the penny will remain. It actually cost the government more to mint the penny than it's worth. There has been consideration, in past congress's to replace the $5 bill with a coin and the $20 bill with a coin but, again, the reason for not changing has been the production factor. Also, it would be easier to replacate a metal coin than a paper dollar.

It would be nice if Congress would mint coins instead of paper money, but it won't work until the paper money is ended at the same time as the higher denominations of coins are minted! I most likely will never see it happen, but would be great to find the coinage worth more in face value while detecting! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
