I don't like the white color , because it hurts my eyes when the sun is out so i painted it black with a red in the hot zone , hope it gets better depth now. yesterday i got a target at about 9" deep amazed me and that was without the paint job
Thats a quality piece of paint spraying especially the red middle piece, very precise in the application of the top coat
It may have stopped the sun from causing you eye problems but it could also cause problems with stability of the coil in hot weather, that is why some coil makers use while plastic or what ever to make the coil cases,to keep the coil stable
I will let you know if it gets unstable in the heat , little things can make a difference if so i will have to go back to the white. but the Tejon coils are black . I tell you it was hard getting the coil caver off as i had so much sand in it . I think its time to paint the shaft next ,
