CF 77 question

I just got the CF77 last night. I have to admit I watched the video just to try to figure out how to put it together. It is a different beast. It seems really tall to me. I am pretty sure I have it as short as it will go and with the big 11 inch coil on it I feel short. I am wishing for a couple of more holes in the rod to shorten it a little. Has anybody else experienced this? I am certain I need a nine inch coil. First impressions are good though. I like the tones and it seems to have great depth. Anxious to get out more this weekend. It is hard to find anybody who has used one and will comment on the machine.

I suppose all of the discussion of the CF77 happened before the Racer was available. Does anybody remember anything at all about this beast? So far my only problem is how tall it seems to be. I wonder if anyone else felt that way?

If depth matters it smokes most detectors renowned for depth with larger coils with good audio I.D.,,,,,CEDAR
