CF-77 Assistance Please- I may be getting one

Hello Fellas,
I may be trading my Teknetics T2 LTD for a CF-77. I have read quite a few pages and watched several videos. The machine looks like it has some awesome depth and from a few people who messaged me said that it even went deeper than their E-Trac and their T2. If so then im ready for some deep targets. The one thing I dont like is the preset discrimination, for those who have used one does the preset discrimination do ok once you get used to it? And I see it has tones as well which is good. For a detector that has no visual target identification can one get very acquainted with the tones enough to help ascertain what the target is? Well guys thanks for any information and keep on diggin.

[size=large]The Coin Finder is a great machine. It took me a little while to get use to the info being on the side of the machine but once you have it set up the way you want, not a problem at all. Build quality is excellent and actually balances well. It will take a little time to get use to what the detector is telling you but that is expected with any detector. I liked the machine but sold it as I am a dealer and was checking it out so as to be informed about it. No problems with warranty support if you ever need it.

Thanks Richard. Im not really keen on the preset discrimination but will give the unit a try and if I dont like it then will sell it and maybe try a Racer. I have heard a lot of good things about the Racer as well and its a good looking machine. Keep on diggin!!!!!

The CF77 is deep and does well but other then the three tones there is no discrimination other then an iron audio adjustment. I would lean towards the Pro Package as the extra coils will come in handy. Not sure what he means by getting use to the infor on the side of the machine as the knobs are in the back of the machine. There is no display.

I have a CF77 I traded for. At 83 years old I am wondering what to do with it. No place to really try it out. I listed it on the depot. If it sells ok.. If not ok. Not really hurting for the money. Just too old to mess with it now....Jack

Jack,
I think it is awesome that you are still hunting at 82 or 83. It gives all of us hope for the future. It is also great that you are trying some new machines.
