Century mark today with the F75

I dug 2 silver Rosies, both 64d's, this morning that became my 99th and 100th silver coin recoveries since getting my F75 4/17/07. Although I've been detectoring since 1974, it has been a good number of year's since I garnered up 100 silver coins in about a year's time span. Not to fail to mention, quite a few other goodies along the way, as well. Most of my coinshooting is done on the likes of old parks and school grounds and the occasional old fairgrounds. Sites, that are very trashy and in no way virgin. The F75 is one astounding detector in trash. I hunt with both the stock and small coil and the small coil is seeing more and more duty. My settings more often then not are sen.80-85, disc.6 (no notch) 3h tones and de process. Thanks for reading. HH jim tn

Jim, I hear you! its like night and day when hunting in the trash. I have a total of 8 silver so far and have only been at it a month. Whats really sobering is when you hit a dime 8+in down among the trash. Its like diging though 100 years of pull tabs and screw caps. I like and use your setting too. You know when its a coin, sharp and short repeatable tone.

Congrats, Jim. That's an amazing milestone in today's hunting environment. I like your settings, as well.

keep on diggin'

One more thing jim. Im in NY now but in the summer i head back home to TN. I havent hunted there yet but have alot of area avalible to me when i go. How do you find the soil there? How well does the 75 handle it?

Wow jim congrats..What an amazing Feat..Well if anyone is wondering about silver F75 Finds..you have sealed the Deal..awesome..I to use your settings at most parks.

EZ, what part of Tn is home? I'm in W Tn and our soil is fairly moderate with g/b usually in the 60's to low 70's.

liquid1, in regards to your comment "what an amazing feat", I should point out that I do hunt almost daily for an average of about 31/2-4 hours and have well over 1000 hours in with the 75. Because of the recoveries I have made with the F75, I know no site, trashy or otherwise, is for sure hunted out.

Thanks everyone for your comments. HH jim tn

Congrats on the milestone! Very impressive. With so much experience on this machine, I'd like your opinion on which accessory you think is more of a "must have", the small coil or the Sunray probe? I don't have an F75 yet but am considering some of the packages out there. Thanks,

Steve (Millington, TN)

Hey steve..I have seen some of the package deals going..I would say the F75 and the sun-ray probe is the Best Deal..the probe alone sells for $179ish the small coil sells for $149ish..I will be getting the Fx-1 sunray probe next week if possible..I already have the small coil.its worth the cash for going trough the trashy sites for sure..great park hunter. But the stock coil does a awesome job..either way you cant go wrong..

I can't speak for the sunray probe, but the small coil is a must, imho, for the coinshooter in trash. I've dug and id'ed dimes 7" and a little more with the small coil and its really light weight. HH jim tn
