I spent several hours searching a now-defunct farm that dates back to at least 1755. I was fortunate to walk away some nice finds spanning a few centuries.
The pocket watch was funny coming out of the hole. I thought it was a beer can bottom at first, but it clearly wasn't! No idea of the age. I barely made out the 2 reale piece. There was just that slight high tone that sealed the dig for me and I'm so glad I didn't keep walking. The dime is in nice condition, too. The place always gives up a few buttons and a good bit of lead, too. I believe I have a finial of some kind that at first I thought it was a chess piece was still covered in dirt. I'll take buttons and buckles all day long. Of course there are a few mystery pieces. Loved the nice weather and the hunt!
