I know at least one of the forum members lives in the area. We drive about 2.5 to 3hrs to get there...The area is called Morro Bay....in the summer its more crowded and usually foggy till 11AM ....this time of the year the weather is perfect...traffic was minimal, breezy day....its a fishing town still....just south of Cambria (Hearst Castle fame). I may have taken and posted similar pictures .am not sure. The flower is a vine that is very popular in california......the name escapes me at the moment....

the car seat is just that ......but its actually a bench made of metal......the tools are welded to the seat....no cushioning....very unusual - at least to me......Morro Rock is a preserve for wild birds and climbing it is not allowed

here is the information about morro rock....
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morro_Rock

..it is connected to the mainland..one can actually drive right next to it....by the way....the water in this area is frigid.....most wear wet suits to surf or boogie board in the ocean...further south the water temp is more pleasant.

Boy does that bring back some memories. That's a beautiful place to see and visit. Thanks for sharing it with us. The flower almost looks like a Hibiscus. Could that be it?
Beautiful pictures!

i uploaded the picture of the auto seat again to show the details on the right side where it shows the seat was worn down to the foam....nice detail ...lol.......someone put LOT of thoughts into this work of art

Great photos. And a great location. Sounds like you had some real fun.
Thanks for sharing.

Vito...the area is supported by tourist from our part of the state mostly....when its 110F here in our town we take of to the oasis on the coast where its probably 70ish and foggy in the mornings....ive have been known to torment my former co workers and call from Morro Bay and tell them how i had to wear a coat to stay warm .... i loved doing it.

I think that the car bench seat is neat, never seen one like it before. The flower picture is beautiful, love the color. Thanks for sharing. :clapping: Kelley (Texas) :)

the area is a very popular area...not excessively populated. ...if you want to build a house its a major hassle....zoning, water, planning etc.....lots of roadblocks.....wife and i like like the area a lot regardless.........the area temperature is consistent....in hot summer months there could be 30+ degrees difference between there and our town....by the way its just a few mile north of the DIablo Canyon Nuclear Power plant.....and as a result all the shops in the area have a decal on their window as to what to do when the horn goes off 3 times......oops

You be a meanie, Detector Man.;)
