General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

Most forums welcome open reviews and discussion of products used by its members, but apparently, not Findmall. Another member and I where having an open dialogue about where Bounty Hunter detectors are manufactured and the following day, and the thread was removed. It seems that rather than have open, honest comments about products and companies, Findmall would rather censor its members to promote its sponsors. Why?

All that glitters is not gold. Many people(myself for one) depend on reviews and insight gained through forums when buying their next machine. It seems wrong to block people from discussing all aspects a detector(or manufacture) without fear of censorship. I have read many great reviews of Kellyco here. I have been looking at purchasing a Whites MXT, but I am now unsure if I can trust the reviews I have read here(of both Kellyco and the MXT), for if only good reviews are allowed, I might be missing out on a heap of negatives. If Findmalls attempt is not censorship, are they trying to encourage people to buy the wrong machine(perhaps)? Censorship would be fine if there was swearing, slander, or libel present in a post. However, 'cleaning up' honest conversation about a product is WRONG.
 
To start with you were given a answer why it got removed. I guess you didn't like it.

Second: You were not having dialogue with anyone, you had made a comment to a poster who was trying to get the flames going, but he didn't answer you. Had you taken the time to read the earlier post near by that post, you would had seen he was trying to start a fire going. Fires we try to put out.

"Findmall would rather censor its members to promote its sponsors." That statement is just not so, in fact there are no sponsors of that page. Findmall added the page for the general posting of Bounty Hunter users.

"I have been looking at purchasing a Whites MXT, but I am now unsure if I can trust the reviews " This is a little bit out of context, wouldn't you say ? What were you doing in the Bounty Hunter forum looking for reviews on the Whites MXT ?

If you don't like the way thing are here, what are you doing staying here ?

I was given an excuse and then the excuse was even censored. If you hadn't erased the thread, I would show it to you. :veryangry:

Second:
He(Vlad) did respond to me, but you erased our conversation without good reason.There was no flames, slander, swearing, libel or anger. I have been having an ongoing discussion with him through PMs, which at least you can not censor. There were no flames there, just an open discussion on First Texas products. Why bring previous threads into this discussion. Carrying a grudge maybe?

So if I own a Bounty Hunter detector(which I do), I can not look at buying a Whites(which I am)? And if I would own a whites detector, I would not be welcome to post in the Bounty Hunter section as well. I am sure many readers here own more then one detector. I guess I am guilty of wanting options. You censorship creates problems in many ways. I have only read good reviews if the MXT here. Is this because the MXT is a good machine, or have you just erased all of the bad reviews? It's hard to trust anything anymore.

So why did you censor the threads in the Bounty Hunter forum? It seemed that any thread involving where Bounty Hunter detectors are made was erased. That directly involves the product and is pertinent to many readers here. I guess me owning a BH detector doesn't allow me a voice here.

I wasn't aware that any one sponsor was in charge of sponsoring any one page. Can I sponsor you censorship department. It must be really busy these days...
 
Freddie gave you the courtesy of an explanation clearly your new and not in tune with forums. Word games won't cut it you can simply agree to disagree and move on and benefit from the vast knowledge here or go figure out what you can contribute but the rant needs to end. Dan
