Cellar Hole Finds.

John M (Ct)

New member
It's been a while for me posting anything here but some replies. One thing after another has come up but now it seems things are back in order.Hit a couple cellar holes with some friends and found a few firsts for me.For some reason the one thing I always wanted to find at an old home site was a thimble and for 4 years it hasn't turned up.The first target I dug for the day was my thimble and I could have gone home.At the same site I got an 1864 2 Cent (#3) and another first for me a 2 1/2c trade token. After cleaning it up it states,"Store Line Elecr Co. 2 1/2c Token Norwich Conn."the town I grew up in.After some research I think that it is a trolley token from a trolley line that ran thru the area of Ct.in the late 1800s to early 1900s.Also found a Button, buckles, spoon end and a Conestoga style sleigh bell (also a first).

Take care and thanks for looking, John
